The action comedy Kindergarten Cop 2 brought a fun mix of undercover investigation and classroom chaos, making it an entertaining project to help shape visually as Art Director. Working under Production Designer Tony Devenyi, I prepared drawing plans and photo composites for the various sets while also producing the graphic elements used throughout the film. With a compact art department of only two people, the workload was extensive, requiring close coordination across departments to ensure every location and set build matched the overall vision of the production.
Despite the small team, we were able to deliver a wide range of detailed environments that supported both the comedic and action driven elements of the story. The production blended practical locations with constructed sets, creating a balance between authentic school environments and controlled builds. It was also a memorable experience working alongside the film’s lead Dolph Lundgren as well as Bill Bellamy, both of whom brought great energy to the production.
