The short film Lions in Waiting offered a focused and collaborative creative experience from the very beginning. I was invited aboard as Production Designer by producer Selena Paskalidis, and after meeting with director Jason Karman, it quickly became clear that the project would be a great creative fit. Together we moved quickly into scouting locations and storyboarding the key moments of the film to establish a strong visual direction.
Beyond the core production design work, I also developed several of the film’s visual elements, including detailed attention to the costume department by designing the team jersey graphics and crests used in the story. The production relied entirely on real locations, which helped ground the film in an authentic atmosphere while the talented and enthusiastic crew made the process both professional and enjoyable from start to finish.
