The inspirational sports drama The Miracle Season, also known during production as Live Like Line, was a rewarding project to be part of as Assistant Art Director. The film tells the powerful true story of a high school volleyball team that rallies together after tragedy, and the visual environments needed to reflect both the intensity of competitive sport and the emotional spirit of the story. Working under Production Designer Brent Thomas, I prepared graphic elements, assisted with technical drawings, and helped coordinate the creative direction across multiple location based sets.
Much of the work centered around transforming practical locations into believable competitive environments. Several high school gyms and the climactic championship volleyball tournament required extensive visual dressing, including dozens of large banners, posters, directional signage, decals, and custom floor graphics to create the scale and energy of a major sporting event. I also contributed to the development of visual elements for other departments, including detailed collaboration with the costume team on team jersey graphics and crests. The production was filmed entirely on locations with additional design installs throughout, and it was a pleasure to work alongside the talented cast, including Helen Hunt.
