Mindwave was an intense techno-thriller inspired by real events, blending political undercurrents with a sharp, modern edge. It was especially rewarding to help shape a story rooted in urgency, surveillance, and consequence.
As Production Designer, I collaborated closely with director Leon Lee to develop detailed visual strategies for each scouted location, creating layout plans and design solutions that supported multiple script scenarios. Together, we explored a range of aesthetic directions to ensure the environments reinforced the film’s escalating tension and thematic stakes. I oversaw all aspects of the Art Department budget—including graphics—while assembling and managing a skilled department crew to execute the vision efficiently.
The film was shot entirely on practical locations, with no constructed sets, relying instead on careful design adaptation, environmental storytelling, poster graphics, and playback elements to deliver a cohesive, high-impact visual world.
