PROJECT MC2 - TV SERIES

ART DIRECTION

Season four of Project Mc2 offered a vibrant and imaginative world to help bring to life as Art Director. The series blends science, adventure, and youthful energy, requiring sets that could support inventive gadgets, secret labs, and colorful environments. I prepared drawing concepts, creatively guided the visual direction of all set designs, and worked closely with the set designer to ensure each build captured the energetic and playful tone of the show. Collaborating under Production Designer Paul Joyal, I also oversaw graphic design elements while coordinating budgets and departmental needs to keep the art department running smoothly.
A significant part of the work involved designing and directing computer playback elements used throughout the series. I developed the graphic content and provided creative direction so the playback artist could animate the material for on screen displays and technical sequences. The production was primarily studio based with elaborate set builds, complemented by a smaller number of practical locations. It was also a pleasure to work with Danica McKellar, known to many as Winnie from The Wonder Years. The series later received a Daytime Emmy Awards nomination in 2018 for Outstanding Art Direction, Set Decoration, and Scenic Design.
