The stylish medical drama Rush offered a fast paced and visually polished environment to contribute to as Assistant Art Director. My work focused heavily on developing the graphic design elements seen throughout the series while also coordinating closely with the Art Director on the set builds required for key locations. The graphics created for the show were extensive and highly detailed, helping to establish the sleek, contemporary atmosphere that matched the tone of the story.
Working under Production Designers Ricardo Spinace and Geoff Wallace, the art department crafted a number of memorable spaces, including a striking modern bar set that Ricardo designed with an incredibly authentic and sophisticated look. It was rewarding to help bring those environments together while supporting the overall visual style of the production. The series relied primarily on practical locations with a smaller number of studio builds, and it was also a pleasure working alongside Tom Ellis, who was genuinely friendly and easygoing on set.
