Serving as Art Director on season two of When Calls the Heart offered the opportunity to help expand the beloved frontier town of Coal Valley as the story world continued to grow. Working under Production Designer James Robbins, I helped guide the visual development of the town by introducing new shops, extending roadways, and designing the addition of a church and school that became important gathering places within the community.
These expansions required new signage, interior shop layouts, and a wide range of period appropriate prop elements to ensure the town felt authentic and lived in. I coordinated closely with all departments to ensure every detail of the builds and location installations came together smoothly. It was also a pleasure collaborating with directors Neill Fearnley, Martin Wood, and Mike Rohl while helping shape the growing visual identity of Coal Valley.
